Forum:
Just had a look thru the gallery, and would like to know who,s is the green one, parked next to what looks like a barn..with the Warn sticker on the side? Cos thats exactly the hieght im looking for...how was it done? I appreciate its an earlier model..but there MUST be some way of doing the same to an Independent.Also..what size tyres are you running on it? Cheers

green 4trak
If you look above photo there is there name click on it and you can even private message them
its not green its black
im running on 36/14/15 tyres on 15 inch rock climber wheels.
it has a spring over axle conversion, land rover extended shackles, and 2 inch lifted springs., nothing is imposible but you will have major, major work getting this kind of rubber and lift on an independant, unless your prepared to have rigid axles and leaves put under it.regards guy.p.s buy an old 1 for a play thing and do the mods to that
Your Fourtrak
Cheers Guy..Yep..I thought that it wouldnt be that easy.Think i,ll settle with winding up the torsion bars at the front, and waiting for West Coast 4x4 to come back to me about longer springs for the rear. The only other option wud be a 3" bodylift on top of the above. But yours really does look the dogs!..wud buy an old one as you say,but apart from the 4trak,my other passion is my bike..the question is how much can i justify it all !!Cheers again
body lift
could go for a body lift mate. im not too keen on them tho , i think it makes them top heavy to much body roll , and side slopes can be a problem.but thats just my opinion.....regards guy p.s good luck mate
lifting your independant
another way to gain more height is after you do have a 2 inch lift,if you havnt got alloys ,go to a suzuki dealers and buy a set of 16 inch steels from a grand vitara, shouldnt cost ya much, they may have a set lying around after fitting alloys to a new suzuki, fit these with 235/85 /16 tyres, instant lift and they dont look bad either check my old fourtrak pic before s.p.o.a i had them on mine ...regards guy
