Welcome

Welcome..........

There's a few of us here with Turbos. We had a meet a few months back in Crewe as there's a few of us from the north! There are one or two from the south I believe too. Have a browse on here as there are many posts relating to the quirks of the turbo! If you have any questions, ask away.

If you want my advice, drain the oil and put some decent FULLY sythetic in it and change it every 3k!
Also, the ATF Fluid should be changed every (56k?/6 years I forget without looking it up) and there is a filter/strainer in the box which could do with changing but it is not on the service schedule. I understand it is also a pig to do too as the drain pan has to come off which requires the subframe (?) dropping I believe. The Fluid is easy to drain, but only a fraction of it comes out so I drained mine, filled it, drained it etc until I had none left - better than nothing. There are places that claim to change 90-95% of the fluid with a machine but that will obviously cost you.

As for modding it............good luck. There are very few parts available in the UK for it. User jpor has just recently fitted some very nice 17" wheels to his, but I gather you need spacers etc on the rear. He has also lowered his/exhaust/fitted various gauges/bucket seats. Looks great, but I think he has too much money doncha Jon ha ha. A few others have changed their wheels and carried out other mods too.
The original twin pipes rotted really quickly, and many replaced under warranty. Some owners have dumped the twin pipes and gone for a single pipe version instead- like yours. If your exhaust is OK I would leave it as getting the original twin section would be near on impossible. Give user DaihatsuDave a shout if you want any parts as he is breaking a Silver Turbo.

Good choice of car by the way
