So I finally got my YRV Turbo a few days ago, and so far I am enjoying it. It goes in for a service tomorrow so I am hoping its all ok, certainly feels fine anyway. It will take a bit of getting use to but its a fun drive.
So service tomorrow, if thats fine and there is no major issues get it lowered with my Tein S Springs. Then get my alloys (15's with 185 tyres), then windows tinted and then exhaust. I have managed to chnage the stereo already and that made a bit of difference to the sound system and looks better being all black stereo.
One thing I have noticed, when in Auto mode, changing from 2nd to 3rd makes a sort of pinging noise, only sort of happens at low revs. Thought it might just be when its cold but does it when its warm to. Does not effect anything, just wondered if anyone else has noticed this?
Thats it for now, will let you know how the service goes (its been a year since it was done last but has only done 4k since then). Fingers crossed...

Where is the noise coming from? I know if you try and change gear when it doesn't want to change it beeps at youbut thats only in steershift mode. Is the noise coming from under the bonnet? Check the ATF Fluid. There is a dipstick on the gearbox, red handle i think, do it when the car is warm, not cold or red hot after a thrashing, and you have to do it whilst the engine is running and in park.

Noise
Seems to come from the underside of the car, its like a small squeak. Its difficult to describe. It just happens as it goes from 2nd to 3rd. Getting the ATF checked tomorrow so could be that. It changes gear fine though, just has that little noise which is noticable. Prob find out tomorrow, will let the garage know anyway so hopefully they can find out if there is anything wrong.

Glad you now have found one. The ATF should have been changed at 6 years, so could be low and therefore why the noise perhaps.
