YRV Manual Downloaded

Forum:

Hi All.
Been a member for some time, since owning a Sportrak LTD Edition, although I have never needed to post any messages (any info I required was already here when I needed it) but I can't find it this time.
I now have very low mileage and very tidy 2002 YRV Premium.

I have successfuly bought and downloaded the workshop manual for it, many thanks for hosting it on here admin.
However, I can't seem to find anywhere in the manual, any info on headlamp removal to check the auto leveling motor.
One of mine moves slightly then stops when I use the dash headlamp level control, the other side moves fine in all positions. I dont want to go digging in there without a clue of what to expect, maybe theres a linkage thats popped out or a worm gear worn, I have no clue what to expect or how to fix it.
Any suggestions folks.
Cheers
Steve

Hmmmm I have just posted

Hmmmm I have just posted something on the YRV's levellers. Both my current and previous YRVs have got temperamental levellers. When setting them to "0" the uppermost position, the levellers occasioally go mad and wont stop chattering until you give them a clout. As for removing them, I tried once and gave up!! I have a feeling there is a very well hidden bolt somewhere from memory. Let us know what you find please Wink

Looking at it tomorrow

Weather permitting, I'm going to be looking at it tomorrow, I will take photos of what I find and make them available to everyone along with a description of my finding and the fix if it's fixable.

Headlight motors

I had this problem on one side of my 2005 Sirion 4trak after someone backed into me and the other headlight had been replaced. I traced the motor back from the adjustment screw and they were a simple quarter turn to release. However the motor wasn't available separately so the insurance replaced that headlight as well. Don't know if this helps with the YRV though.
