Just got in December, Tips.....Don't worry about the gear box feeling tight, give it about 3000miles and feels great.
Advice.....Don't worry about not spending any money on fuel anymore, as time passes you will need to put some more in.
Its a shame more sirion owners are not using this site.

Thank you Russ for your comments. Yes my local garage is not very happy
as I have not been in to top up yet. I'm happy so far with the car, very nice to drive and comfortable plenty of room and the boot is nice and larger, holds all the family shopping.

no tips, really. Our car used half a litre of oil in the first few thousand miles, just us correct grade oil 5w 30 (i think, been a while since i had to top up)
, and when reversing at slow speeds the was a grinding from the front brakes, we whipped out the front pads and cleaned out the groove on the pad material and all is well we are coming up to 2 years and twenty thousand miles, oh and a dash squeak that comes and goes, 
it averages 48 to the gallon, is cheap to ensure does not have to visit the dealer for repairs all the time and the one thing that annoys a lot of people is that it only costs £35 to tax it for a year, try telling people in thier corsa's and fiesta's and see thier faces drop...........
