hi all new to the forum i have recently bought a 93 sportrack (very cheep) but it has no drive at all. the person i bought it with says that it is the clutch gone but i am not to sure because there is no drive at all and you can even push it in to gear with no clutch down and there is no grinding or anything. do they go like this when the clutches go completly.
please let me know what you think.

Take it out of gear.
Knock the stick 'out of gear'. Put 4x4 into 2 wheels. Try the ignition.
Next disconnect battery positive terminal. Then try turning the engine via anything you can fit a spanner onto. If nothing turns then begin worrying.
CLUTCH
My experience of clutches is that when they go they initially slip and then you cannot get a gear at all without a load of crunching and then if you manage to get it in gear the car jolts froward and stalls. Sounds a bit more serious than just the clutch, lets hope I am wrong.
