Forum:
hi
my 1993 tdx turbo is a b****r at starting from cold,it feels like starting on 1 then 2 3 etc, accompanied by so much smoke (blue)that my neighbour for the first time thought it had caught fire!!
my question is should i change the injector`s, or is it a fuel delivery prob, by the way there seems to be a discrepency in the mileage, i think it has done closer to 150k than that recorded on the mileometer, so thats why i am thinking injector`s, after it is warm there is no prob in running or starting, only when it is cold.

Cold Starting
Hi,
had the same prob and symptoms myself on my 94 model. Changed the glow plugs and all is well. Make sure you get the correct voltage plugs,

Cold Starting
As suggested, get the heater/glow plugs checked. I had similar probs, new plugs sorted it, as they were the original plugs, clock + 40 thou miles. Plugs continue to heat after engine has fired, as on a timer
