Drag link

Forum:

hi all

well the truck came back from its MOT with a very short list of problems,

having replaced the rear brake lines and front anti roll bar bushes as well as a few other things i went to fit the 'drag link arm' i bought from milner, at i cannot see anything on the steering assembly which looks remotly like the part i have been sent,

it appears that no one is quite sure what a drag link arm is and i think milner sent me a steering idler as they said this is probaly what was needed,

my question,

anyone know what a drag link is?

cheers

draglink

Hi, the draglink is the rod which connects the pitman arm (on the bottom of the steering box) with the tie rod (which connects to the steering knuckles on each end of the axle). It runs parallel with the panhard rod (which links the chassis to the axle-unless as discussed elsewhere on the site you have removed it)
hope this helps
Dave.

yep
