I have a daihatsu rocky DL(1985 i think)
I know hardly anything about diesel's so could some1 please help me out. ok ill try to explain best i can
my glow plugs are wroking, but diesel is not getting 2 the engine its only gettin 2 the fuel pump were the throtle cable hooks on.ive bleed it heaps of times but the diesel will not go up the 4 metal lines that leed 2 the engine.(if that makes any sense)
do i need i new fuel pump??
if sum1 could help me out that would be great

I'm asuming when you bled
I'm asuming when you bled the system you crached the injector pipes (the for going to the pots) off? You need to let the air out, like bleeding a break pipe. You will need to use the hand pump to do this. Ontop of the fule filter I think? Been a while.
Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

Yep definitely only crack one or two pipes at the injectors like nev said and use the cool hand pump on top of the filter (push down and release) then crank over the engine several times - good battery needed, if you get no bubbles or fuel of any sort after a while but have it at the pump then you got problems.
Full of ideas but no time to do them!!
