hi everybody
i have been on here recently trying to gin some advice about my sporties idle problem. i have a 1.6 fuel injection and i was looking a the manual and the throttle body where the linkage is on the intake manifold end. when it opens then closes the screw hits against the pressure sensor. but what does this actually do? please help!
also when i switch on my lights the idling drops from say 1000 rpm to 850? is that normal. need advice on this. could the earth conections need cleaning? please help.

idle problems
THE IDLE SPEED WILL DROP ON MOST CARS IF THE LIGHTS ARE SWITCHED ON AND 850 IS NOT THAT LOW.
It may be the early sign of battery failure if it drops too low but chevk the volt meter and I'm sure you will find that charging merrily. If you turn and additional items on eg Spots again it will drop slightly and the belt on the alternator will often squeal.
