Hello. I know this isn't exactly the answer you want, but in case no-one has the presis answer here goes. I don't have a manule for mine eather, and she is a trialer, however I have always found that the width of a stanly knife blade (as a feeler gauge) workes just fine.
Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.
the manual
OK so I am a year late, but I have just purchased a manula!!
the gap in the book is 0.8mm (0.031)"

The gap is 0.8mm for standard systems, for uprated coils you can increase the gap to 1mm, 0.040 thou, this gives improved combustion and better responses along with increased fuel economy.
I run my F20 with an uprated coil and use this setting, although it is prudent to keep an eye on the distributor cap, rotor arm, and condensor, use only good quality replacements as the extra load on the system can cause cheap components to break down or wear prematurely. Use a good set of leads also, these will allow your coil to work properly with the rest of the system.
