halfshaft probs

helloooo was wondering if any of u clever peoples could help me.

i recently smashed my front drivers cv joint to pieces doin a tricky turn in a river...
and what i want to know, is whether the complete halfshaft and joint etc from my 1988 2.0 petrol fourtrak will fit in my 1992 2.8 tdx fourtrak.....
the axles look the same etc, but will the lengths be different, the '88 has manual hubs the '92 has autolockers, wil the splines be the same etc etc etc.. or is it a case of having to take them to bits??/

oh and was anyone at the riphay scuffle on exmoor, somerset at the weekend??? didnt the daihatsus do well!!!

Should go straight in. On the short end F50/20 shafts will fit too. The longer end is longer still in the 4trak.

No. The sporti's are indipendent suspention on the front.
