hi i used to have a f73 that was not fitted with egr valve and it had a lot more power than the 1999 f78 i am currently using for towing . so what do you guys know on this can i dissconnect the egr valve ,remove it ,where is it ,got to have more power low down ,would i need to fit manifold off f73,i know they dropped the horsepower how did they do that ,any help on this please.over to you cheers ian

Yes you can remove it, but don't, the exhaust gas recirculation valve is a device which allows a certain amount of exhaust gas back into the engine to be burnt, thus reducing emissions.
Injection pumps are set up to compensate for this, as is the entire engine set up, you will actually lose performance, and fail any MOT, or roadside test on emissions.
