URGENT Timing set up on my sporty

hello does anyone have any idea how to set the timing on my 1.6 sporty because i have changed the headgasket and can't seem to get it running sounds different when turning over as if nothing engages any ideas welcome cheers also anything else to be aware off when doing gasket thanks again dan

Hi dan
Sounds if you might have a problem there did you set the timing belt up properly ie lined up timing marks if not o dear you could have hit the valves with the pistons your best bet is to go through it again with the aid of the manual.
