brakes
Hi,
There should be 2 shims each side as far as I can remember but if there rattling I would strip down to investigate get hold of a cd manual from this site to guide you if not sure.
Now where you buy them I not sure you can try giving milner off road a ring again there listed on this site under parts dealers or try your local motor factors.
I hope this helps out.

rATTLING PADS
There are two shims per pad, four per caliper. Both are approx. 1 square with lugs on two sides. The lugsare sluightly sprung and clip the shims into the caliper and the the pads are placed in the calipers with these shims in place. If these are missing the pads will rattle. I smear the surfaces of the shims with a minute quantity of copper slip.
The shims are very thin stainless sprung steel and what tends to happen is that the tiny lugs break off and then the shim is either lost or is a problem to hold in whilst inserting the pads. Whether replacements are readily available I can't say, Milners may be able to help or a Dealership with some old stock.
I have seen new ones made from normal thin steel/tin and these seem to do the trick. The steel is no thicker than a baked bean can, so that may be a source for you to make some. Hopefully you will have one or two surviving that you can use as a pattern but they slot in to the square cut out at each end of the caliper and take the square part at the end of each pad.
Hope this is of help
