turning signal problem

Forum:

i have just finshed bolting on my custom tubed front bumper and for front turn signals i use small side repeters and fitted them under my head lights....but now my turning signal is more rapid and flashes quicker than normal (which i think is illegal) i am unsure what the problem is and how to fix it.

any help would be great

...or that the new lamps

...or that the new lamps have bulbs of a different wattage than the originals.

This problem has to do a lots with impedance (rezistence) of flash lamp ring. Rapid flashing normaly occur when one of flash lamp is gone.

As a somebody who maybe like experiments you can messure output of original system and compare with system after modification. Try using diferent power of bulb or changing conection to solve problem.

Send me picture and description I will be interested to look at schematic and diagram. Of course if you want http://www.daihatsu-drivers.co.uk/misc/smileys/wink.gif

iNDICATORS

Either a bulb has blown or you have removed the existing side flashers and not linked the wires so the system is scencing a blown bulb incorrectly, and yes if they flash to rapid then I am sure it is an MOT failure
