Just about to replace front offside brake pipe on a 92 F75 and noticed the pipe does a "loop the loop". Anybody now why it does this

Rubber mounted body.
The body is rubber mounted on the chassis, which means that one can move relative to the other by a small amount.
So as the brake pipes aren't damaged by this movement, they are zig-zagged between the body and the chassis.
Anyone who had a 1952 BSA D1 bantam would have had the same thing with a curly copper pipe connecting the petrol tank and carb, to cope with the engine vibration.
