i am new to 4x4ing i need to check the oil in transfer box as it has leak some it is a f20 model i have found the plug for gearbox oil but carnt find the one on trans box or does the gear box oil do both eny help would be greatfully thanks anthony

Replied to your PM. Thought of this too. The Gearbox should have 2ltrs of oil, and the transfur should have 1.4ltr.

Have had a look at one on the deck. If you could look straight at the front of the transfur box, it would be about 10 o'clock to the front output flange. Just far enough round to make it dificalt to see when the box is in situ.

thanks mate i know the one you mean i thought that was the drain plug as it is low down so were is the drain plug or does it not have one sorry for all the quations mate wish i could get a manual make life a lot easyer thanks anthony

Didn't look for that, and can't remember. But it will be right at the bottom of the box, as low as you can get, facing downward. It may be in a reces, to protect it from dammage, and consiquently buried under a layer of dirt and or oil.
