I am having oil pressure problems on the DL50 TD engine. I cant find any info on this engin , everything I find or have is for the DL51 or 52.
Does anyoe know where the presure relife valve is and where is the oil pump, I am guessing in the sump.
Any ideas where to get a manual that covers this engin??
There are very few changes
There are very few changes from one 2.8 to the next. I can't say for sure, but the manuals you have should cover most (99%) of the engine you have.
Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.
the oil pump is on the end
the oil pump is on the end of the crank shaft just below the water pump behind the timing case there is a oil strainer on the end of the feed pipe this sometimes clogs up you need to drop the sump to check this first this is a common fault if oil not changed often
