Thanks guys, goes like stink now with the K&N, cold feed and extractors from MRT. It's amazing how much power and torque the cat eats up.
Dave, it's an easy job, cost wise I used two front pipes from the carb Sporty which came to about £70 odd quid.
Buypartsby.co.uk stock them - part no DU53K.
Chopped the wide flange end off each to create a de-cat pipe 365mm long.
Took it to local engineering place who did a nice weld and grind job for £15. Two new bolts and a sealing ring came to £5.
Total cost about £90 odd sheets.
Piece of pee to fit, 15 minute job.
Having your acceleration back with chunky tyres = PRICELESS!
PS - if you're still running a standard exhaust manifold just buy one DU53K pipe and bung it on, keep your cat safe for MOT time. I think Willives on here has done just that.
NICE
nice neat job like it .
