Hi, I have been doing some body work to my fourtrak, generally cleaning up rust etc. I was prodding around and found the panel under the front lights/grill is really rotten, it snaps like crisps!! I am wondering if there is anywhere i can buy a replacement one from? Anyone know?

Contact e-bay 'selling one wheel nut' type people. Many are profesional breakers. Should be able to help. Bare in mind though that that pannel is a notorious rust trap, and is thearfor one of the first things to go. If you want you can replace it with just about anything you wish to use, as it is not a 'strength' component.

I agree either ebay or fabricate one. I must be lucky as on both my vehicles this panel remains as it left the factory but most rot so take care with buying unseen from ebay.

Panel under front lights
I changed mine on my F78 last year - went to the expense of buying new from Daihatsu dealer, cost about £70 then got painted for £20. Really easy to fit, but smeared plenty of vaseline on the top as this is where the water sits. The rust seams to start around the 2 little rectangular cutouts which house a plastic clip for the grille to clip into.
