fourtrak Sump pan

hi. just done an oil change and the sump plug just spins. does anyone know here i can get a sump pan for a 1991 fourtrak 2.8 turbo diesel.

Hi, you must have over tightened it before or cross threaded it, not good, you only need to do them up hand tight with a spanner and copper washer.Look on ebay for lots of fourtracks being broken, any 2.8 from about 87 upwards should fit,examine the nut and the hole, which is damaged? you might need new sump but its an easy job, but just one you dont need!!

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!

SUMP

Take it to a local engineering works and get them to re-tap a size bigger and supply you with a bolt/plug to match.
You could even do it yourself if you can source from a local engineering suppliers a thread tap, holder, bolt and washer to match.
New sump otherwise?
