Electrical problem with stereo's connection

Forum:

Hello everyone! Yesterday I was trying to connect my new stereo but I had a problem... I forgot to unplug the battery, and accidentally the positive wire touched the negative one. This wasn't a big problem, I knew I have to change the fuse and that's all, but the problem is I don't know where is it. The wire is the one which has 12v always ( the same as the clock, and the indoor light ) but I checked all my fuses in both fuses box and they are all good. Has anybody an idea? it is a Daihatsu Feroza '92
Thanks a lot!

RADIO FUSE

Hi

Of course you may not have blown a fuse .

Radio's are usually fused in two ways, either a blade fuse on the rear of the set or within the live wire or a glass fuse in a holder along the main live wire.

Most radios have two live or even three live links and each can have an inline fuse. The lives are PERMANANT LIVE, IGNITION LIVE AND LIGHTING LIVE.Not all have the lighting live.

Problem solved

I found the fuse in the second fuse box.. it is underneath the dash board. The fuse (15 Amp) seemed to look fine but when I test it, didn't work well so I changed it...
Now my clock, light, and stereo work fine...
Thanks for comments!

BLOWN FUSE

Thats good news. The fuse box to the right of the steering box is often overlooked or unseen.

Happy listening.
