Hi Mark, I'd like to
Hi Mark,
I'd like to personally recommend Birmingham Offroading Association (BOFA), they offroad up in Cannock Chase woods which is about an hours drive from you (well, if you drive like a bat out of hell at 90mph on the motorway like I do hehe), their website is www.bofa4x4.com - a full day out (which is like 9am until 5pm) is £55 per car (unlimited drivers) and is a bucket load of fun.
If you search Youtube for foxdieuk and look at my uploaded videos you'll find a load of videos of me offroading with them in my 94 Sportrak (which is unmodified too, well with the exception of a K&N induction kit for some more power and some good 195/75/R15 AT's hehe), well worth a look

Off Roading
Derbyshire has plenty of off roading, following the NERC bill, Derbyshire County Council decided not to shut most of its green lanes. Using some common sense, they closed some routes, restricted others, and kept a large proportion of them open; they are monitoring them at this time with the view to removing restrictions and opening some of the closed routes.
Go to DCC offices and see the rights of way officer, he will show you the definitive map, this shows all routes; you will know which routes are driveable, and be legal at the same time.
It is advisable to make an appointment first, ensuring you will be seen, many Derbyshire clubs use many routes, including Nissan, Land Rover, etc.
spoilt for choice.

Its not that far from brum, took me 40 mins to get there from Walsall, I would recomend getting there early as its a bit more quiet and you get more time for money.
Unfortunatly I won't make it to either event this time, as I have spent far too much time and money on my new offroading hobby recently and need to spend some on my wife while I still have one.
