Hi all.

Can any one tell me what the correct size the diff drain/level plugs are supposed to be.
I have tried 24mm socket, to loose. 23mm socket, to small. A 15/16th AF socket, was slightly loose, not a good fit. A 1/2"Whitworth - 9/16th BS socket, nice fit, just right,(old socket from my Mk1 L/Rover days)possibly worn ( this is what I used)as a same size combination spanner (Elora) was to small.
Many thanks

try 22mm or 7/8af
try 22mm or 7/8af
Socket size
23mm was to small, so why suggest a 22mm.??? Plugs were vigorously wire brushed before removal, and after in vice to make sure on socket size's.

Definitely 24mm
If an ordinary 12 point socket is a loose fit try and find a hexagon socket which has much less chance of slipping.
BTW Bundyrumandcoke, are you talking about geocaching using billion dollar satellites to find tupperware? Otherwise I don't get it !! Please enlighten me.

drain plug/filler plugs
Hi
All the above on the front and rear axle, the gearbox and transfer box are 24mm. I have had the lot out again only last week.and it is defiinitely correct. Perhaps some burke in the past naffed tthe head up and cut it back to some silly size to secure it.
