Forum:
Hi new to Daihatsu just bought a 1988 fourtrak which had been used off road for the last 12 months or so. I want to check the brakes but can't seem to shift the rear drums no matter what I do, any ideas/ special tools etc: most welcome. Also the fuel tank seems to have a leak, so removed the guard chocked the tank removed the bolts but what attaches it to the filler hose or other bits as the tank won't come out? Help with identification of the car please, on the vin plate its type is F80R with a 3Y engine, however its definitely a diesel!!

fourtrak rear brakes and fuel tank problems
hi
release the parking brake adjusment locknut from under the vch. this will release the tension on the following shoes if still unable to remove hub insert 2x (M10x1.25) bolts in the holes in the drum face near the studs this should pull it off, i would guess that all the mud and stuff will have jamed them on quite well
And I would guess at some
And I would guess at some time in the past, there has been a body swap. The plate should read F70 for a SWB diesel.
