Soft top
Not the easiest thing to fit and should come with a rear rubber seal, front rubber seal and studs with screw therds onand a rear pram like frame. You remove the hard top and the rear window. Then remove the rear rubber and front rubber and replace the rear one with that which should have been supplied with the hood. The studs screw into the holes provided beneath the rear windows line. Sometimes they are covered in plastic tape. With all these in the roof comes in 4 parts. The main bit, 2 side zip in windows and a rear window. Firstly attach the Pram frame. The holes are again in the rear body top and this works like a pram hood. Attach the front of the hood first. It's an odd arrangement which is dificult to describe the result is that the rubber cannot be seen from on top. You attach the rubber to the hood first and then fold it over the rubber which then clips onto the seam. Then attach the main part over the rear roll bar where I recall two velcro straps that en circle the Pram Bar
Next using the studs you have screwwed into the body clip the sides into place. Then with great difficulty zip in the windows.
The result is terrible and although I bought mine from Daihatsu @ £400+ I have reluctantly used it twice as it is such a messy looking piece of junk. Up it looks cheap down its a bloody nuisance and flaps about although they provided some straps to contain the sides that stick out all over the place. If you get caught with it down in the rain prepare to get wet. The only good thing about it is, once up, it is water proof.
Good luck you will need it.

SOFTOP
Every one to their own choice but I have had this softop (white) for 12 years and to be honest I would let anyone have it lock stock and barrel for the postage from France which would not be cheap but better than the cost direct from Daihatsu. The Front offside clip has failed due to being such an awfull fit but other than that it is so called "Perfect". The worst £400 i ever spent, DAIHATSU could have done much better that they did.
I think, personally that they look crap and are a pain in the aris to both put on and fold up and down, take off and then store. I live in France, as I said and could use it all summer and most of the year but don't because it doesn't look "cool" at all, cheap skate maybe, Tatty very much so. But we are all entitled to an opinion. Now the car with the top off does look "cool" I will admit but not with that piece of garbage rolled up like an old tent on the rear.
