im dropping out my petrol tank and removing its bashplate in order to weld the chassis.

has anyone got any tips for this procedure? i predict it will be rusted half away as someone has already replaced the original metal pipework from it to a rubber one.

hopefully its not too shot when i get it out - does anyone know how much a new/recon one is?
