Removing Stickers on Bodywork and Replacing the Rear Seat

Forum:

Hi Folks,

Finally got a Sporty. Yay!! Smile

However there is a few things that I would like to do to it.

1. The original bodywork stickers are peeling off. Is there anyway I can remove these & the adhesive residue without affecting the paintwork below? And could I T-Cut it after to bring the colour back up?

2. The exisiting rear seat is a 2-seat bench type. Does anyone know where I can get a 3-seat bench type? And would it be easy to fit a lapbelt to it?

Many thanks in advance

sticker removal

the best way to deal with the stickers is heat, either hot water from a kettle or a hair dryer (ask the missis) be careful not to over-heat any particular spot, as it mat effect the paint. the object is to soften the plastic, and the glue below it, use a plastic scraper (filler spreaders work well) to carefully peel it away, once your done, a good ession with the t-cut, then some polish/wax will sort out whatevers left.

thanx.

rear seat conversion

Unfortunately lost my job not long after posting the question (got one now) so I didn't chase it up.

Did the stickers though - user hot water & then some Auto Glym Tar Remover to remove the residue

Fitting rear seat to a Fourtrack fieldman 'van' format

Looking to buy a Fourtrack, but it was produced with only the front seats. The back serving a utility role. I would like to fit a back seat of any description. Is this possible, where best to source a seat and what about seat belts?
Anyone any ideas?
