Daihatsu Terios mk3
I have owned a Terios 1.5 SX since January last year. When I bought it, there was 8800 miles on the clock, now it has covered 35000 miles. Totally reliable, a joy to own - if a tad underpowered - reasonably economical, superb in the snow and off-road. The wife wants one now, an automatic - I wouldn't hesitate, if I had the money!!
I have had a gas conversion fitted to the car, because I do the miles. The trouble is, gas prices are creeping up faster than petrol prices - either that, or the gas sellers are coining it!! I have also fitted BFG A/T tyres, which make a huge difference off-road and in the snow. Highly recommended vehicle - I can't understand why Daihatsu/Toyota are no longer importing them. Tony B
Terios
thanks for that Tony. I was told that they weren't being imported any more because of the high exchange rate of the Yen against the pound
Non-import of Terios
That's what the dealer in Abergavenny was told by Daihatsu, but they don't believe a word of it. They reckon Toyota, the parent company, was facing too much competition from the Terios against their entry level RAV4. Interestingly, that dealer is now importing Perodua - their Myvi is identical to the Daihatsu Sirion. Maybe they will start doing a clone of the Terios - who knows.

I have a Terios Mk3 SX on '58 plate. It's brilliant and it's a "keeper".
