bf goodrich

Forum:

bf goodrich seem to be the tyres that every one wants

im looking into a set of these tyres now
BF Goodrich 31x10.5x15 mud terrain

but are these also road legal inc europe.

thanks

They certainly are in the UK.

They certainly are in the UK. I have never thought to check for the mainland. I have driven my jeep there with BF MT's on several times without incident, and most standards like that are Europe wide. But I can't answer that one definitivly. What I can say is that these are very good tyres, however what sort of terain are you planning to use them for? I know that sounds daft, but if your area is stony / flinty and you planning a lot of off road these are very expensive tyres to shred. The main reason to bye them over remolds is longjevity. If your going to slice them to bitts every Sunday then you might as well save your money. If you want a capable off roar tyre, which is mostly going to see road use, with gloopy mud once a Month then these tyre will last long enough to make it worth while paying the extra to begine with. Don't get me wrong, I think these tyres are brilliant, but they are pricey.

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

Everyman is the architect of his own future.

I would take a look at Cooper

I would take a look at Cooper tyres also, just as good, but cheaper.

If you have an issue with stones or sharp flint then look at their Discoverer STT, a friend drives off road regularly in such conditions, training others.

His company switched to STT's and instead of one puncture a week he went to two punctures per year.

Goodrich or Cooper

Hi
I've run BFG Mud terrains on my old landcruiser on and off road and can confirm Nevs opinion, fantastic quiet long lasting tyre, good offroad but expensive to damage, I've also run the same set of Cooper STT's on first our Fourtrak and now our Sportrak, these are equally as good but at 2/3rds of the cost. I'd second Assasins post and say buy the Coopers.
