Fun on the moor.

Oil leaking from somewhere?!

I found a load of oily kitchen roll stuck under my fourtrak the other day, looked like it had gotten caught there while driving but now i have realised its off my truck.

I looked underneith and there is a lot of oil that has poured out and is all over the sump guard and bottom of truck. It looks to be coming from a small tub shaped thing a bit below the turbo?! Or is it a gasket? It does not over heat. I think it has lost a little bit of power too? Please help

Leaks

Sounds like it is the oil cooler from your description, these usually have O rings to seal them, although many were fitted with gaskets.
Most oil leaks from there are due to many years of vibration shaking them loose, or pipework deteriorating, depending on type fitted.

Remove the underbody tinwork and spray, or paint with degreaser such as Jizer or Gunk, and thoroughly rinse and ensure it is totally clean. Check the engine oil level, top up if necessary and start the engine, the leak should now be visible.
