loss of power

Hi
Have a 1993 Daihatsu Applause sedan and recently had cambelt, waterpump replaced but since then had loss of power on changing gears and overall, had it check by garage cnat find any thing wrong with it, could it possibly have something to do with carb as it also using petrol.
Would appreciate any sugestions on this, cheers

Timing problem.

If carb was OK before then I doubt if the carb is the problem.

1. Timing belt not located correctly - new belt incorrectly fitted on the sprockets.
or
2. Distributor timing not set up accurately.

if thats the only thing done i would say the timings out
