Wind Deflectors for the YRV_1

Newbie Here

Hello all. Just got ourselves a 2002 Red YRV Premium with only 21k on the clock. We had a Vauxhall Meriva Before that which was a great car but drank fuel like it was going out of fashion. You don't see may YRV's about which I think is a good thing, and I love the look of the thing. I'm 31 so I am not a pensioner that people associate these sort of cars with!! I am well chuffed with it and I can't falt it apart from the tiny boot, as it drives well and goes like stink compared with the Meriva. Hopefully it will give me thousands of trouble free miles. I had to lubricate between the front wiper spindles and the rubbers as they were creaking when the wipers were on but apart from that it's fault free at the moment. The alloys are mint as is the rest of the car and I am going to keep it that way.

Are there any weak points on the YRV that I should know about? Any answers would be appreciated.

Cheers all Eye-wink

Wayne

I've had a few on my YRV Turbo........

Welcome!

The front window had been replaced by the previous owner and unfortunately not well and ended up with an inch of water in the passenger and drivers foot wells after a torrent of rain one night. So worth checking, first signs of an issue were that the car was misted up inside every morning.

Rear foglight was/is still loose.

The plastic holders for the rear boot cover were missing, so ended up fasioning some of my own.

For the rest do a search on the 'problem' section and you will see that I had a few which I cannot think of at the moment. Apart from that they are a reliable motor. Just appeared I picked up a lemon, like the colour of my car.

After market parts can be a bit of a pain to get hold of in this country if you are looking to modify it.
