Sportrak alternator

Hi All

I've got an 89 Sportrak EL and the alternator's gone. I've had a quick look at it and I'd like some advice on removing the alternator. Doesn't look like it will come out from the top end of the engine so I guess I need to drop it out of the bottom Unknw Any tips on what needs to be disconnected (apart from the obvious cables) greatfully received.

Also been trying to get hold of a manual - can anybody help Unknw

Hi,
I had an alternator decide to quit on me just recently and to remove it you have 2 options.
1. Remove remove radiator grille and radiator.
2. Use a lift and get at it from underneath by dropping the diff.

No. 2 is the prefered option and is fairly straightforward.
I think many owners have a manual on CD. Keep asking and one may come up.
