Alloy wheel nuts

Can anyone tell me where i can get a set of replacement wheel nuts for the alloy wheels on my f78 - the factory fitted pepperpot type wheels. The nuts are longer than ones fitted to steel rims.

Cheers, Nige. Eye-wink

Mmmmmmmmmmmm.......

Mmmmmmm, not sure which way to go. Would prefer originals, i think? Nev.K. have they got any more? I will have to try my local dealerships maybe?
What puts me off those from ebay is the bzp finish. How long will they stay shiny? Could get them chrome plated i guess but then i suppose i could do that with the ones i've got already???

Help

I would imagin that the

I would imagin that the e-bay ones will be so fare down into the wheel, it won't matter what they look like you won't see them anyway. As for the ones you have (unless you have some non standard nuts) you won't be able to use them. There just isn't enough space around the nut to get a socket on them, and they dissapear right down into the hole.

Just to make sure there are no crossed wires here, we are talking about the type of wheel on the linked page arn't we: http://www.daihatsu-drivers.co.uk/node/567#comment-17496

Think I'd go fo prettying up

Think I'd go fo prettying up the ones you've got personally. Unless you get very lucky and find some on a scrap motor, I think that's going to be your cheapest opption...

Try tuner nuts

Hi Nige

The non-standard alloys I fitted to my F78 have deep stud holes, so I used nuts like these:

Cheers Bob

Now that looks like a good

Now that looks like a good idea. Sertainly a lot cheeper than having to bye the proper nuts from a main dealer. £12.45 + VAT.... each! yes EACH!! I was quoted by my local dealer. Even he couldn't belive it, and recheaked the result 3 times befor telling me, and then cheaked again with anouther dealer. As luck would have it they had a tub of second hand ones they let me have for a quid a peice.
