Veg oil and MPG

We have a 1985 Daihatsu Fourtrak 'Rocky' which has a 2.8 non turbo engine, with approx 100,000 miles on the clock.

We are running it unmodded on 50% straight (fresh) veg oil, even now in the winter, and we are regularly getting 35-40mpg. It has covered about 2000 miles on veg oil.

I was wondering what mileage other people are getting?
