HiJet Safety Recall - Prop Shaft Bearing Failure

Hello, all,

Has anyone had any joy in getting a refund from HiJet for a failed prop shaft bearing following the recent safety recall? I gather it is a common problem and certainly mine (an '01 1300 EFI) needed replacing about 2 months ago. Of course, to save money, I thought I'd do it my self, so I expect D will use this an excuse to NOT refund the (loopy) £120 it cost from the dealer.

Yes there was a prop shaft recall.

Just phone your Daihatsu Dealer, and they will check for you. I received a letter from them notifying me about the recall.
