Hi-Jet alloy wheels - impossible

I have been researching this with a number of retailers and online suppliers, for a long time now. The other guys on here may have more knowledge than me about this. You have possibly 3 options.

1. K&N "Minotaur" 12" from tyresave.co.uk. I spoke to them on the phone and they have the silver in stock, but if you want black, you'll have to put down a deposit and wait until spring 2008, so I'm told. They say they can't get any other size in the required fitment.

2. I spotted a Hi-Jet on e-bay last week that had Weller steel wheels fitted. Sort of an offroad racing wheel. So, they must fit, but I haven't spoken to them yet. See wellerwheels.co.uk

3. Keep what you've got and do nothing!

The Pitch Circle Diameter (PCD) of the Hi-Jet wheel is apparently an extremely rare measurement of 110mm and is usually only found on wheels for trailers. I obtained this information from a website where someone was trying to mount a jet engine on the back of a Hi-Jet truck. (whatever floats your boat then eh?) He had obtained alloy wheels from a supplier who had them especially crafted. I believe this was really expensive. Certainly out of my budget. The Hi-Jets that were "pimped up" on Pimp My Ride had to have modifications made to the body panels and they commented that it was a nightmare trying to find something.

Some of the other members on here have made some comments about the PCD and their experiences in the Commercials and Problems sections, but they have never given any specifics on suppliers, so I believe that aside from the above options, it's impossible without time and expense making body modifications. The problem is that the Hi-Jet wheels are very narrow, as are the wheel wells, and most wheels on sale are quite wide, meaning that they would possibly rub on the inside of the wheel well.

If you find out anything else about wheels for a Hi-Jet, please let us know. There are a few others on here who are looking for suppliers too.

And Everybody...

if I'm wrong about anything here, please correct me.

Thanks.
