Hi, i take it you obviously have no leaks, so the only other thing thats a main possibility is that your burning oil yes, you should be able to see nasty smoke out the exhaust, well this is really an engine strip to replace the piston rings, i would assume that this is the problem, you can try oil additives to help solve the prob a bit but its no cure and your loosing alot, anybody else with other ideas??????

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!

see now the weird thing is

see now the weird thing is as much oil as its burning its not leaking and theres no white smoke shooting out at all, which you think there would be as much oil as its burning. there is a similar problem with an infinity g35 that my friend has. he is burning about a quart every 3000 miles with no smoke and no leaking. its weird, because if my piston rings were blown or even cracked it would be shooting out some kind of smoke. but it runs fine.

Somewhere

Well the laws of physics would sugest that it must be going somewhere...
Your either burning it, leaking it or its getting into your coolant.
has it happened since you did the oil change or was it consuming oil before the change?
is it petrol or diesel? Also which Rocky is it a F300 (Sportrak/Rocky/Feroza) or a F7???(fourtrak/Rocky/Rugger)

hey!

its an f300 rocky. it was consuming oil before the change. and its petrol

oil

strange i wouldnt expect white smoke i would think blue if the rings had gone and a fair bit of it, and two quarts is a lot to have added to the coolent system without smelling it.

i think i would have someone rev the nuts off it while i had a good look underneath with the bash plates taken off, or plant some paper under it and do the same to see if its spraying under load. i would also take the coolant cowling off and have a look at the bottom of the engine behind the rad
