gearbox

hi

it is possible to split the transferbox and gearbox but you will be left with 4l+ oil all over the place i wouldnt bother but it can be done. as for removing the gearbox again possible but very heavy once youve undone the propshafts and removed the bash plate and the crossmember the gearbox will swing down to the deck the problem is the three bolts on top of the box which you can nolonger get at but you would have more clearence if the tbox wasnt there. it cant swing that far if you have a look at the clearence between the rocker box and firewall and gone are the days that i`m having that weight on my chest

i have changed clutchs is these before and to be honest the quickest way is to pull the engine/gearbox/transfer box out in one lump through the front where the rad is dump it on the deck and hit with the windy gun unless you have access to a pit in which case you can have my first born

either way not a one person job unless you happen to wear red underwear over your blue leggings
