Bleeding Hijets - cooling system

It seems everybody agrees that bleeding the heater on the hijets is an absolute must, it is also a good idea to flush the coolant system too, also some people seem to have difficulty getting hold of the little rubber bung on the T in the heater hose. I've just bought a "Radiator Flush Kit" which consists of a T but instead of a rubber bung, it has a screw off cap, definately useful for bleeding hijets. Have a look at them at:

Sounds useful

Thanks for that, sounds really useful Smiling.... but can you (or anyone) tell me exactly *where* to bleed the system, where the "T in the heater hose" is?

I have a 1.3 hijet and when flushing the coolant I've simply filled it from the cap at the top of the radiator in the front..... I couldn't and still can't find where you are supposed to bleed the system.

Hopefully this simple reason is why my 'jet continues to overheat Sad

Bleed point on HiJets

Lift up the drivers seat, there you will see the heater hose, going from cylinder head to heater in that hose is a T. if you cant find it I will send a photo
