how do I kill the buzzer

Forum:

I have recently purchase a 1984 F75 thinking I would be able to turn it into a roadworthy little runaround for my wife in a few days swinging spanners. However after getting it home I quickly can to the conclusion that it had been abused and negected in the extreem.
One of the many things amiss with it is that there is a buzzer operating in the cabin. What is it trying to warn me about? How do I reset it?

Dont know, it must be a Pommy

Dont know, it must be a Pommy thing. In 8 years of owning an Aussie Rocky, I've never had a buzzer going off. Id say, track it down, and kill it.

By driver's seat

On my '97 Fourtrak there is a small buzzer under the carpet between the driver's seat and the door. I don't know what it is for as I only discovered it when getting the door switch to turn on the interior light.

The buzzer has been found but whats wrong?

I removed the cover trim from below the steering colum and pulled a few wires out of various boxes until the buzzer stopped.
The box is black and is anotated 'warning turn indicator' or something close to that.
All of the indicator assys have been removed for cleaning and repair?

buzzer problem solved

I forgot to include a key point when I first wrote about the buzzer in the cabin. I had removed all of the indicator assys in order to renovate the exterior. Once I replaced all of the assys and reconected the flasher can the buzzing did not return and all of the indicators worked fine after replacing a few globes.
So if you have to remove your indicators there will be an incessent buzzing from a black box 'flasher can' located under the dash near the left side of the steering wheel. Disconnect the wiring plug and peace will return.
