What mods on a Cuore would I have to declare? (1999 - 2002)

Forum:

Note: I do not own this car yet. I am simply enquiring

I am thinking of getting a Cuore after reading good reviews and seeing that they're 1.0 Liter engines are exceptional and are good for first cars. I've obviously seen pictures of them modified. I'm not going to go crazy and put the thing on bags and give it a turbo, but suble things that wont give it extra performance just make it my own.
The main mod ideas:
- Rally style front lights like this
- Original Cuore alloy wheels (If possible) and have them painted black/dark grey.
- Debadge rear & grille change on the front to remove the logo. Like this:
Other mod ideas:
- Small squre numberplate on the front, like the image above, (If that's road legal in the UK) and the boot lid to be replaced with a non-number plate indent one, if they even exist.

Thank you all!

P.S. This would be my 1st car, it would aso be the 5 door varient and I'm 17, I may get this car when I'm 18 though as it's only about 10 months away and I can happily drive the family Polo 1.4l. I would also have a dashcam and possibly a black box.

Again, thanks for feedback and help.

Cuore

I doubt if insurance company would be bothered by anything cosmetic like changing the grille or number plate shape, but tell them if you change the wheels or suspension etc, just to be sure - they'd use any trick to get out of paying up if you had an accident.
I think you'll find the Cuore would be a lot livelier than the Polo, but they are a bit light, so if you get one without abs then make sure you get decent tyres, or you'll lock up and have a prang (especially when it's wet) like I did when I hit a deer!! And make sure you change the oil regularly. From what I've read that's the only thing that will cause you any engine problems.
Oh yeah, change the front seats for early Sirion ones. They are much more supportive and comfortable, and I believe they bolt straight in, but you need the seat belt lock.
Good luck.
