Sirion 4trak flexible brake pipes

Forum:

Hi

A while back I changed the front discs, pads and sliding pins, I also bought brake shoes for the rear but did not get around to fitting them for a while. Have just done so and it has made quite a difference, before I sometimes had to double pump the brake pedal to lose a spongy feel. And this is why I bought a set of stainless steel braided hoses from WEZMOTO for £65.
I did not feel confident about fitting these myself so asked a local garage to do it for me. Anyway I get a call from them stating that the hoses for the rear are too short blah blah. I don't know if the mechanic is a jobsworth who just could'nt be bothered or if there is a problem. So at last my question: What is the length of the
rear hose for a 4WD sirion? Anyone got a spare in the garage they could measure?
The ones supplied in the kit are 192-195mm long which is the same length as those that are for sale on EBAY.

flexi brake hoses for '04 Sirion 4trak

Well I got off my bum and measured / compared the supplied hoses with the existing. All the female fittings on the original hoses are 15mm or so long after the fitting slot. the ones supplied by wezmoto are a lot shorter. The length of the front hoses supplied by wezmoto were spot on but the rear hoses were 230mm with fittings as opposed to 290mm with fittings for the OE. Spoke to Liam at Wezmoto who said he was working from specs that did not include the 4WD, i.e the assumption was that they are a standard size. Wezmoto asked me to return the rear hoses and will supply a pair at 290mm inc. longer female fittings.
He is a nice guy to deal with and have bought hoses from him in the past for my motorbike.
