I'm trying to fix the passenger window on my fathers terios. the windows have been getting progressively slower ( relay or switch?) never been the best since new but last week the passenger side stuck half way down.

Took the door trim off and removed the motor and regulator.
I tested the motor and it didn't work from an independant 12v source.
I've tested the connection block and have 12v in both directions from both switches.

I purchased a used replacement part and it wouldn't work off the switches but the motor does work from an independant 12v source.

Checking the door switch positive feed resulted in a definite hot arc when earthed to the door.

The drivers side mechanism has speeded up now that the passenger side has been removed from the equation which leads me to think it may be a relay breaking down.

Question is there a separate relay or is it in
a) the passnger door switch
b) the master drivers door switch

any help appreciated
