Charade ECU

Forum:

Hello,

(I'm not English, so I hope you guys understand me)

I've got a weird problem with my car, a '96 Charade 1.3l.

To begin I owned a '98 Charade (green), but lost my last key. Couldn't get a new one since it was equiped with an immobiliser. Dealer asked 1200 pounds to replace locks/Immo/ECU. So I decided to buy another Charade.

Since I wanted it cheap, I bought one ('96 Charade, grey) with some damage, still drivable but no looker. My idea was to change the ECU from the grey one with the green one, so I could use that one again, and also have a shitload of spareparts.

But here comes the problem. The gray one didn't have an immobiliser (cheaper to buy replacement key, and who wants to jack a 18 year old car?)
Tried to change the ECU, but green car still wouldn't run. But when I placed the ECU back into the grey one, that car wouldn't start either. You can hear the starterengine turn, as does the engine, but it won't start running.

Could it be the ECU picked up on the immobiliser, and now needs one to start?

Does anyone know how to reset the ECU again so I at least have 1 car running?

Thanks for any ideas that can help me.
