Hello,

Apologies for my first post to be one asking for help but I am in need, ill give as much info as possable...

Car is a 2002 1.3 (52 plate) sirion rally 4wd. (just got it last week have not really done more than drive to the shop in it yet)

It had a very stiff linkage to the box so i rebuild it and was fine for about 1 mile, then after returning to car to drive 1 mile back I had to wiggle the stick into gears and it got worse on way back, (only just made it really)

Drove it down street (50 yrds) and it just froze up. (can still wiggle it into a gear.

With engine off gets all gears and is really nice with no notches (really smooth actually).

When the clutch is up (not pressed) and I push for (any) gear the car tries to move as if the clutch is not pressed down, but i cant get it into a gear

Have tried tightening the clutch cable (on top of the box) a little but no diffrence at all. (theres a stopper on top of box which only would let me adjust it so far anyway (could still get another 3 turns maby though.

I dont want to prejustice replys but, I can only think clutch fork may be worn down? ...I have not checked oil level (was going to change it but no wanting to waist money untill I have an idea if the Or anything is gone.

...what would anybody suggest for gearbox parts (clutch fork, or could i just stick the 2wd box on ...would that fit?

I am no novice mechanic to be fair, but ive just never played with gearbox's.
