Hi new to the site. I am converting my land rover to diesel and have a 2.8td daihatsu engine ready to drop in. Before fitting i want to change the cam belt and clutch but am having real problems identifying the engine i have. it came out of another landy and where it came from before that i have no idea. The only id i can find on the main block is DL 46 with 3346 stamped below it. Can anyone help identify this for me?

The engine has a plastic cover over the cambox, and not sure if it helps but the thermostat housing has the name Milner on it

ok, deffo a cambelt then, if it was ally it would be a chain, get a cambelt for an f70/75 fourtrak, the housing that has milner- thats a replacement, Milner is a company.
