can anyone recommend a decent daihatsu-friendly garage, warwickshire area? Fourtrack with ropey cills and rear leaf springs - can't do stuff myself -(no garage/right tools/mechanical 'gifts'!)

If your talking replacing the sills and rear springs (which should always been done as a pair) then ANY garage should be more than capable of doing these jobs. Don't have to be a Daihatsu 'friendly'garage really cos theres nothing peculiar about Daihatsu sills and springs m8.
Go to the place you trust the most and make sure you get a quote before allowing work to commence.I would say in the region of £100-120 plus cost of sills and springs which can be had from millners for a fair price (springs that is...try Graham Dewhurst for sills)links to both companies at top of page under parts dealers...shame you could not do the job yourself on your trak ..you would save a fortune

if your going to take the motor to a garage to change leaf springs be prepaired to be stung, as this can be time consuming and considering some garages cgarge £30-£40 per hour this could get expensive

yeah, you were right - just quoted between 500 + 600 quid just 4 springs... so bye bye 4track
